Zerem has been contracted by Hitachi Rail to perform critical power systems work at two sites supporting the Ontario Line subway project.
The Operations, Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF), located in Thorncliffe Park, will include a Maintenance Building, a Maintenance-of-Way and Train Wash Plant Building, and a Yard Traction Power Substation (TPSS). The Ontario Line Operations and Control Centre will be housed within the Maintenance Building.
The Step-Up Substation (SUSS), which will provide the connection to Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited (THESL), will be located near Exhibition Station.
Under this two-year contract, Zerem’s scope includes power systems installation within the SUSS, the OMSF Yard TPSS Building, and the OMSF Maintenance Building.
