Ontario Line Power Shack & Electrical Infrastructure Works

Zerem is supporting the build-out of the Ontario Line through the supply, installation, commissioning, and energization coordination of 500 kVA power shacks at five key locations along Pape Avenue in Toronto.

The scope of work includes the complete installation and commissioning of all power shack components, connection to Toronto Hydro primary cable, and the associated civil and electrical infrastructure required to support final energization. This includes construction of equipment pads, civil works and ductbank installation, erection of customer-owned poles, installation of underground ducts, and other foundational site infrastructure.

We are also responsible for coordinating directly with Toronto Hydro to support the final electrical connection and energization of each power shack.

The five project locations include:

  • 495 Pape Avenue
  • 722 Pape Avenue – Pape Station
  • 891 Pape Avenue
  • 1002 Pape Avenue – Cosburn Station
  • 1050 Pape Avenue – Cosburn Station

This project reflects our capability to deliver complex utility coordination, civil infrastructure, and electrical installation services for major transit infrastructure projects in dense urban environments. The work is taking place from 2025 through 2027.
