Port Credit Station is the south end terminal station for a new 18km stretch of Light Rail Transit (LRT) for the City of Mississauga. Zerem is doing all electrical work, ranging from incoming main feeders to switchgear to distribution panels along with fire alarm work, lightning protection & grounding system, de-icing system, and interior lighting and controls. The station has two levels below ground, resulting in complex and challenging electrical work and coordination of itemized deliveries of major electrical equipment including 2000A switchgear, a UPS system, and distribution switchboards. The Project also requires us to interface with other trades such as structural, geo-technical, architectural, mechanical, and HVAC trades. We are employing 3D simulation software including BIM/Revit along with Navisworks for accurate and clash-free studies for the intra-trade interface drawings.
