This table, built on strong supporting legs, divides space, separates use, gracefully identifies public and private areas and yet as a unified form creates a structure that is distinctly and undeniably Tableau.
Tableau is a 36-storey mixed-use building designed by Wallman Architects featuring 410 residential suites, 25,000 sq.ft. of office space and retail space at the ground level.
Suites and amenities are beautifully designed by Cecconi Simone with outdoor space and landscape created by Claude Cormier Landscape Architects. The signature element of the building is a structural “table” on which the residential portion of the building sits, strategically locating it above the site’s existing warehouse building. The front of this building is being reinterpreted and reconstructed and will accommodate the commercial office space, ground floor lobby and retail. The table structure also creates a large, four-storey colonnaded public plaza on Richmond Street.

Energy cost-savings work, primarily consisting of upgrading the common-area lighting to LED, for three TCHC buildings located at 15 Tobermory, 75 Tandridge, and 57 Mabelle. The general contractor is Buttcon, and the work wrapped up in late 2018.

Separately, Zerem also did the electrical work for individual metering of 565 suites for TCHC at 3847 Lawrence Avenue East, 10 Boultbee, and 80 Blake Street. This work was also for Buttcon, and was completed in summer 2018.

Lighting retrofit of a large four-level underground garage. Garage remained occupied and operational during the construction period. The work included all new distribution panels, new conduits and wires throughout, new lighting fixtures and removal and disposal of all old conduits systems and old light fixtures.

Work was challenging due to tight construction schedule, large physical size of the facility and the need to minimize interruptions.  Work required detailed scheduling, implementation of safe work methods, and close coordination with the client and the consultant. The work took place from fall 2009 through summer 2010.

A Design Build, complex project built to Military Specifications. Included extensive electrical distribution with two parallel 1250 kW generators, two 800 kW parallel UPS systems, a sophisticated security system, an addressable fire alarm system and other specialty systems.

The project required work within a large group of stakeholders: Military personnel, Department of National Defense Construction, engineers, the general contractor, other trades and sub contractors. The project had many revisions, but was brought to successful completion on schedule.
